Community Day Services
Individuals served in this program are age 18 years and older who have a developmental disability. Community Day Services (CDS) programming promotes independence and well-being by allowing participants to learn and practice daily living skills in a safe, structured and supervised environment each day. Group socialization activities provide opportunities for interaction, training, and support. Clients participate in crafts, gardening projects, outings as well as other programming events throughout the year.
Each classroom is designed for specific needs and levels of functioning. Clients learn to prepare meals in our fully functional kitchen. Health and wellness is an important aspect of daily programming.
Corporate partners invest in the lives of clients every day through on-site employment, work projects at the agency such as assembling and packaging gaskets, or by providing opportunities for skill building and enrichment — special outings and activities. Community Day Services offers contract work to those able to complete necessary required tasks.
